Our Story

Club Mascota is a pet apparel and lifestyle brand founded by Alexandra Bendaña — an LA native, Latina female fashion entrepreneur who saw an opportunity to bring smiles and turn everyday walks into instant fashion shows.

With two decades of experience as a fashion industry expert — working as a professional wardrobe stylist and photo art director — Alexandra felt a calling to start her own business doing what she loves, for the four-legged mascots in our lives.

The Name

Club Mascota (pronounced MAHS-KOH-TAH) — Spanish for "beloved pet" or "mascot." The name was chosen with intention: our pets are our mascots, our best friends, our beloved family members — the favorite kid (sorry not sorry human kids).

The name also honors Alexandra's Latin heritage as a first-generation American, weaving together her roots and the American dream into every stitch. Our pets deserve to look as good as they make us feel.

Mindfully Design — Our First Pillar

After two decades in the fashion industry, Alexandra witnessed firsthand how much it contributes to environmental destruction. That couldn't be ignored. Club Mascota was built as a response — a commitment to do things differently.

The majority of our materials are sourced from upcycled fabrics, deadstock textiles, and thrifted materials — keeping more items out of landfills and giving beautiful fabrics a second life. We use colorful prints, bold colors, and joyful patterns to bring happiness to your everyday, because sustainability doesn't have to be boring.

Every piece made is intentionally made. At Club Mascota, we believe that fashion and sustainability can — and should — co-exist.

Every piece is handmade locally in Los Angeles. We proudly partner with local manufacturers to help revive the fashion industry in our hometown and stimulate the local economy — because great style should lift up the community around it.

Philanthropy — Our Third Pillar 🧡

10% of all revenue is donated to pet non-profits — including CAMP and The Labelle Foundation — to help pets in need find safety, care, and loving homes.
